A traveler's guide to Disneyland Paris
This is the theme park to pair with a Paris trip, not a substitute for the city. One full day inside the gate, one evening if the weather holds.
Disneyland Park at Disneyland Paris is the theme park with the French castle, Phantom Manor, and a Frontierland that takes the show seriously. It is in Marne-la-Vallée, east of Paris. The resort's second gate is Disney Adventure World, next door.
When to go
Spring and early autumn. August is busy and the park is outdoors. Winter is quieter, colder, and the holiday overlay is genuinely good if you pack a coat. Rain is the default. The rides are mostly inside or worth the wet hair.
How to see it
Frontierland and Adventureland are the half of the park that feels built for this site. Discoveryland holds Hyperspace Mountain. Fantasyland under the castle is the midday crowd. The railroad and the castle show are how you stop walking.
Tickets and time
Dated tickets and hotel-park packages both exist. A park hopper with Disney Adventure World makes sense if you have two days at the resort and one day in Paris, not if you try to do both parks and the Louvre.
If you only remember this
- RER A from Paris is the simple way out. Sit on the left going back for the skyline.
- Food inside the park is expensive. A bakery breakfast before the gate helps.
- Shows run in French and English. Check which language you are walking into.
- The castle at night is the picture. Stay for it.
