A traveler's guide to Disneyland Paris Resort
Disneyland Paris Resort is a side trip from Paris with two theme parks. The city still wants a day that never enters a gate.
Disneyland Paris Resort is the theme park resort in Marne-la-Vallée, east of Paris. Two gates share the site: Disneyland Paris and Disney Adventure World. Disneyland Paris is the castle park. Disney Adventure World, renamed from Walt Disney Studios Park on March 29, 2026, is the second gate and now needs its own day.
When to go
April through June and September through October are the fair bet. Summer can be hot and packed. Winter is quieter and colder, and the evening show is less of a sure thing. A weekday beats a French school holiday.
How to see it
Disneyland Paris is the castle, Phantom Manor, and Frontierland. Disney Adventure World is the second day: the lake, World of Frozen, and the rides that stayed through the 2026 rename. Do not try to sample both and still walk Paris that night.
Tickets and time
Buy ahead, and take the RER from Paris if you are not staying on site. A one-park ticket is the right first day. The resort hotels put you at the rope; a city hotel puts you on a train. Either works if the first train arrives before open.
If you only remember this
- Disneyland Paris is the castle park. Disney Adventure World is the other gate.
- Paris is the point of the trip. Leave at least one day with no park ticket.
- The train back fills up after the evening show. Know the last one you can make.
- March 29, 2026 is when Walt Disney Studios Park became Disney Adventure World.
